Inducted into The Blues Hall of Fame by the National Heritage Foundation in 2011, Leon’s notable style influence flows from the Delta. Acknowledged as a Music Historian, Leon has a passion for rhythmic interpretation and the stories behind it, in all of his music. His captivating live performances highlight his vocal and musical talent which have garnered a reputation for uncommonly entertaining audiences with his story telling and musical styles true to the original formats of the early JukeJoint’s on the plantations when featured artists would bring a variety of influence and style to each show. Leon’s main focus is Acoustic Blues/Rock, Country, Country blues, and Americana.

Leon has honed his art modeling the early Delta Blues, & Country Blues masters, with the specific influence of Eddie ‘Son’ House The great Delta Musical Icon and Leon’s favorite character from that era. Passionate vocals, incredible rhythms, and powerful delivery are synonymous in both men’s musical style. He travels widely performing & “edu-taining” his crowds, sharing history and elements of America’s music evolution thru multiple genres and engaging styles, taking you on a musical journey performed tastefully, with traditional elements, incorporated and performed from a modern day approach.

Performing professionally since 1992 he formed and fronted the midwest band BlueCountry 92-98′, the acoustic percussion duo Undercover Acoustic from 2001-2007 and then formed Leon’s JukeJoint performing both solo, as a duo and with a full band at major music events and venues including the world famous MIM – Music Instrument Museum, the Telluride Blues Festival where he was an honored winner in the Acoustic Showdown in 2009, to AZ and Sturgis Bike Week events, multiple International music festivals, and all over the southwest US as a resort feature and headline act.

Eric Miller

Born in Alpena, Michigan, but grew up in Detroit. He began seriously playing guitar at the age of twelve, inspired by all the great rhythm-n-blues and rock-n-roll of the area. Coming from a family of musicians and artists, Eric started playing professionally when he was sixteen. In no time he was playing some of the hottest and biggest venues of the Detroit Metropolitan area.

Hungry for travel and exposure to different sounds and music, Eric left Detroit in the mid 90’s to travel to Europe where he spent months busking on the streets of France, Italy, England, Ireland, and eventually Spain. It was there that he was seduced by the art of flamenco. After returning to the states, he was privileged to meet and eventually perform with La Dama Maria del Carmen, a world-renowned flamenco dancer who has performed with such flamenco greats as maestros Carlos Montoya and Juan Serrano.

After several years of disciplined study and performance of flamenco, Eric found himself drawn towards Brazilian music, inspired by the brilliance of masters such as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Caetano Veloso. Eric says, “There is so much ocean and sun in bossa nova and samba that it is always refreshing to listen to.”

Eric has toured the Southern United States with Karren Pell, a Nashville songwriter with whom he still writes many of his songs. He also tours with the flamenco company Arte Y Pureza, playing with the band Sir Sultry in the flamenco rock opera A Spanish Day.

Most recently, Eric co-collaborated to compose music for a documentary film called The Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato, Mexico for the Detroit Science Center.

Today Eric has found his own voice, emerging with an interwoven cultural style that is unique unto him. His music is diverse, and he continues to travel and play, collaborating with many great musicians around the world. Artist Website: Eric Miller

About Jeff Dayton…

From the White House to the Grand Ole Opry, Jeff has been playing guitar and performing all his life. He’s a Nashville producer and writer and loves the concentrated creative scene in Music City. His hometown roots in Minnesota and years in Arizona earned him a the job of bandleader with Hall of Fame artist Glen Campbell for 15 years. He also found time to land his music degree, regional hit records and the honor of backing artists including Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Buck Owens, Tracy Byrd, Bo Diddley, Dizzy Gillespie, Gene Autry, Mac Davis and many more. Once arriving in Nashville, Jeff focused on writing and producing, but because of his reputation and guitar skills, was soon touring with megastar Kenny Chesney, Lee Greenwood, Sarah Darling, Tammy Cochran and others.

Jeff’s first guitar was at age 9 and he immediately formed his first band, The Emperors. From there, it was local clubs and concerts, paying his dues and working with musicians who became sidemen for Prince and Bob Dylan. He moved to Arizona, got his first Nashville song contracts and put together one of the most popular and acclaimed bands in the Phoenix music scene over his 20 years there. One fateful chance encounter with Glen Campbell led to his longtime tenure on that tour and set the stage for his move to Nashville in 2000.

Today, Jeff is an active Nashville music producer, songwriter, session guitarist, recording artist and educator and tours as a dynamic bandleader and solo artist. His show Salute To Glen Campbell is appearing nationally, as well as an upcoming tour Jeff Dayton ~ American Troubadour.

Jeff has been busy writing, composing and producing several albums.. all of them great!

You might catch Jeff on the big and little screen too. He’s appeared on three episodes of Hawaii Five-O and ten episodes of Nashville, plus a Toby Keith music video Honkytonk U. Here is the video with Tobey Kieth! (you can see Jeff playing the piano all through the video)

Check Out Tomorrow Nights  Show when the band will “HONOR AN OLD FRIEND” with A Salute To Glen CampbellJeff’s 15 years with Glen Campbell were filled with stories, shows and adventures, traveling and recording with one of America’s best-loved and most-respected country/pop artists of all time. It’s only natural that with Glen’s retirement since his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, there would be a demand for his music to still be heard. Jeff has been answering that call with some of his fellow band mates in….

Led by Glen Campbell’s former right-hand man, Jeff calls on fellow alumni from the tours and together they share the joys and fun, the stories behind the songs and an intimate reflection on the pain of a great friend slipping away from us all.The show is filled with Glen’s hits, all performed by Glen Campbell band members and Jeff. A great show, if you loved Glen and his music, then this is a must see show!
